Attaché au patrimoine littéraire et musical de son pays natal, Tigran Hamasyan s’est inspiré du conte mythologique arménien Hazaran Blbul pour réaliser son projet le plus ambitieux à ce jour.
Reprise par plusieurs écrivains, la légende de «L’Oiseau aux mille voix» a connu de nombreuses versions au fil des siècles. Depuis qu’il l’a découverte en 2019, la dimension spirituelle de cette fable a hanté le pianiste à qui elle a inspiré une œuvre qui dépasse le seul cadre de la musique.
